Agile is often the subject of an entire IT transformation within an organisation. But what is IT transformation?
Transformation means different things for different organisations and what it is depends entirely on each organisation’s own unique situation, and what they are trying to achieve. It’s also something that keeps changing, as the organisation, customers and the market continues to change, and faster than ever before.
So the key transformation to create a truly sustainable successful organisation is to create a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

In these unprecedented times of rapid change and economic uncertainty, one of the key factors in wether or not a organisation will be able to sustain success – or maybe even survive – is in its ability to respond quickly to change.
As Charles Darwin once said, “it’s not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but those most able to adapt”. That statement is as true to business now as it was to nature then.
So how do you create an environment for continuous learning, continuous improvement and continuous innovation? How do you make your organisation a learning organisation; an organisation that is able to adapt?
One way is to show teams the power of the retrospective and the impact of creating a truly reflective and collaborative approach, and how to work as a team in order to continuously improve and innovate, and to teach teams how to do that on an ongoing basis for themselves.
That might be easier said than done, but maybe it’s the only transformation you need?
