Codemotion – the leading tech conference in EMEA for software developers and IT professionals – is back and bigger than ever. Taking place on 8th and 9th May 2018, some of the 101 Ways’ team will be heading to Amsterdam to join a fantastic line-up of international speakers to talk all things Devops, Blockchain, AI/Machine Learning, Inspirational, GameDev, IOT, Big data, Front-end, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Serverless, Software Architecture, AR/MR/VR, Design and UX.
Having recently expanded into the Dutch market following our success in the UK, the team we felt Codemotion was the best way to get to know our Dutch friends, learn together and highlight 101 Ways’ leadership capability and vision. Showcasing this ability to advise, lead and do, our very own Kelly Waters will be joining the Codemotion CTO panel to discuss the ‘Evolution of the CTO’: looking at how the role has progressed from a company-wide provision – as a leader who supports infrastructure and drives innovation – to a more external role as the face of the products and services and being strategically responsible for delivery to the end user.
We’re also excited to announce that our CTO Odhrán McConnell and tech lead Mudi Ugbowanko, will be running a 101 Ways Serverless Lab from 10am to 5pm on Tuesday 8 May, along with consultant software engineers Diego Vazquez Nanini and Domas Lasauskas.
Open to both junior and experienced web developers, front end and back end, and full stack developers, the Lab will be split into two parts. During the first segment, delegates will receive training over 30-minute sessions on how to install and run a serverless application on their machines. Experiential learning through live coding demos will be offered to participants demonstrating how to code their own lambdas and to deploy them to their own AWS account.
The second part of the day will feature a Serverless Clinic where delegates will be encouraged to probe our engineers for tips, best practices and self-development advice with any serverless issues.
Open to Codemotion ticket holders, places are completely free! Spaces are limited however, so booking is encouraged. To join us for this informative yet fun way of tackling the wonderful world of serverless, sign up here**.
